Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the course

Aerial yoga is very safe when practiced with proper instruction and equipment. We recommend having at least 6 months of regular yoga practice before enrolling. Students should be comfortable with inversions and have no serious medical conditions like severe vertigo, heart problems, or recent surgeries.

While some strength and flexibility help, you don't need to be exceptionally fit. The hammock actually supports your body weight, making many poses more accessible. We'll build your strength and confidence progressively throughout the 7-day program.

The course fee includes accommodation, all meals (3 vegetarian meals daily), professional aerial yoga hammocks and equipment, study materials, 50-hour certification, and daily classes. You just need to bring comfortable yoga clothes and an open mind!

Yes! Upon completion, you'll receive a 50-hour Aerial Yoga Teacher Training certificate recognized by Yoga Alliance. You'll be qualified to teach aerial yoga classes. However, you'll need your own equipment (hammocks, rigging) and a suitable space to teach.

It's very common to feel nervous at first! Our experienced instructors work with you at your own pace. We start close to the ground and gradually build confidence. The hammock provides security, and you control how high you go. Many students with fear of heights complete the program successfully.

Aerial yoga uses a fabric hammock hung from two points, creating a supportive sling. Unlike circus silks which focus on performance and athleticism, aerial yoga emphasizes traditional yoga principles - alignment, breath work, meditation, and therapeutic benefits like spinal decompression and deep stretching.

What Our Students Say

Hear from graduates who transformed their lives

"
★★★★★

I was nervous about trying aerial yoga, but the instructors at Swaastik made me feel so safe and supported. By day 3, I was doing full inversions! The 7-day intensive was challenging but incredibly rewarding. I now teach aerial yoga back home in Australia and my students love it!
